According to industry analysts, Ensus Group raised 250 million pounds for construction. The wheat processing plant in Wilton, northeast England, will be put into operation in a few weeks, which will be the largest wheat processing plant in Europe.
At present, the plant is in the final commissioning stage. The wheat products processed by the new plant will be used for food and beverage production, and will also supply bioethanol and feed processing industries.
Each year, the new plant will use British domestic feed wheat to produce 300000 tons of carbon dioxide, mainly for the production of soft drinks and food processing.
The new plant will produce about 350000 tons of high protein feed every year, which will help the EU reduce soybean meal imports. It will also produce more than 400 million liters of bioethanol.
