In 2009, Zhang Tianfu, a centenarian tea man, went to Anxi only six times because there was an organic tea practice base of Zhang Tianfu Tea Development Foundation.
As a large tea province, it is a fact that the construction of organic tea bases has never been on a large scale over the years.
Zhang Tianfu believes that to establish an organic tea ecological tea garden is to "innovate from the source" and start from scratch; The application of the "terraced tea garden topsoil reclamation method" can achieve ideal results. Organic tea ecological tea garden does not apply chemical fertilizer and pesticide, which can ensure that tea products are naturally pollution-free; Using topsoil as base fertilizer and applying green manure and organic mixed fertilizer can ensure high, stable and high-quality yield; Set up tea gardens with equal height terraces, each layer is equipped with horizontal water storage ditches, and the terraces and terraces are greened to ensure no water and soil loss in the tea garden; The tea garden adopts machine picking, which can improve the efficiency and realize the modernization of the tea garden.
"For many years, I have always had a dream that Chinese people can drink real organic tea." Mr. Zhang said that because of the excellent quality of organic tea, the requirements for production conditions have always been very strict, and few enterprises can do so.
Mr. Zhang, who has been paying close attention to the development of the industry, has investigated the organic tea produced by some enterprises. He found that there are too few truly standardized products that can satisfy him. The production of organic tea, like anything else, must not be done well with a quick success and instant benefit mentality. It needs to invest a lot of money and technology in scientific research and cultivation, and it also needs repeated practice and demonstration in the middle link, which takes time.
Zhang Tianfu Organic Tea Demonstration Base "Settled in" Anxi
In September, the commencement ceremony of Zhang Tianfu Organic Tea Demonstration Base in Neizao Village, Longjuan Township, Anxi County was held, marking that Fujian tea industry's exploration of organic tea has reached a new level of substantive construction. Zhang Tianfu, a tea industry leader and centenarian, attended the commencement ceremony.
According to Xiao Wenhua, the construction party of the base and chairman of Huaxiangyuan, the construction of organic tea ecological tea garden requires original forest land, no history of reclamation, and no farmland within a radius of two kilometers. Neizao Village has lush forests and superior ecological environment.
On the morning of December 6, Zhang Tianfu, the tea industry leader, and more than 20 experts and scholars from Fujian Straits Tea Industry Exchange Association, Fujian Tea People's Home, the Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Provincial Department of Agriculture and other departments and units went to Wuyishan City to guide the site selection of the "Wuyishan Zhang Tianfu Organic Tea Demonstration Base". Zhang and his delegation successively came to several tea farms in Jiangxi Village, Yangzhuang Township, Wuyishan City, Xiamei Village, Wuyi Street, and Xizhou Village for field inspection. In the meantime, Mr. Zhang commented on the ecology, soil, terrain, landform, advantages and disadvantages of tea planting in each mountain farm.
It is reported that if the base project is completed, it will provide scientific guidance and reference for the development of organic tea planting in Wuyishan. In addition, Mr. Zhang also conducted an investigation on the site selection of organic tea in eastern Fujian.
Organic tea market is promising
According to the analysis of the insiders, organic tea is also a new concept to be tested by the market, lacking in promotion. Some people do not even know the standard of organic tea. Some people confuse organic tea with green tea and pollution-free tea, and some even do not know what organic tea is. There are even many operators who believe that, because of the poor sales situation, whether to label organic tea on the products is not of special significance.
In addition, consumers are not clear about the concept of organic tea. Many advantages of organic tea have become the reason to prevent its recognition. Wang Guiqing, the general manager of Xiamen Tea, said that the organic tea trees could not apply chemical fertilizers, and the nutrients were insufficient, resulting in thinner leaves. Therefore, compared with ordinary tea, organic tea has a clear, fine and sweet taste, mellow and tender aroma, and unique floral fragrance. It's hard to forget after drinking. In terms of aroma, organic tea is obviously not as mild as traditional tea, and needs to be tasted carefully. However, due to good photosynthesis, the content is rich. The health care effect of this healthy and green tea is much higher than that of other kinds of tea.
Jiang Aiqin, an associate researcher of the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, said at the 2009 annual meeting of members of the Chinese Tea Society group held in Fuding City on November 14 that organic tea, as the first organic food exported with a certificate in China, was not well recognized by domestic consumers and was suspicious of the existing organic certification, which caused organic tea to "blossom on the wall and smell on the wall" and faced many problems in domestic market development.
According to the results of consumer surveys conducted by the Organic Tea Project Team in 2008 and 2009, although tea is well-known in China, only 30% of respondents said they had heard of organic tea, and only 5% of consumers had drunk organic tea.
