BEIJING, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) According to the US World Daily, Zheng Yao, who runs an organic farm in Moor Park, Fandula County, is one of the few Chinese farm operators certified by USDA.
Zheng Yao, who immigrated from Taiwan, China to the United States, originally lived in Fengyuan, Taichung. Because of his large garden, he liked to try planting various fruit trees in the garden when he was young. Farming naturally became his lifelong ambition and interest.
Zheng Yao, who has been engaged in farm operation for a long time, said that the Ministry of Agriculture would come to the farm for spot check at any time in the organic agricultural area of Moore Park, and helicopters would sample and detect in the air every day. If any project failed, it would be disqualified and the operation test would be very severe.
Zheng Yao currently adopts the direct marketing business route in farmers' markets in Alhambra, Erwan, and Thousand Oaks.
In recent years, Zheng Yao has also moved forward from planting to product research and development. He has developed the organic white jade balsam pear in his farm into dried balsam pear, balsam pear vine, balsam pear head and other products for consumers to drink or cook directly. There are also large Taiwanese food factories and pharmaceutical factories that hope to purchase in large quantities as raw materials for health food or medicine.
Zheng Yao stressed that the production methods and products of organic farms are 100% natural, environmentally friendly, harmless and pollution-free. He will continue to invest in this industry, which is laborious but also makes him happiest. One son and two daughters are also very happy to be right-hand men.
