With the KOC certification, a product can be labeled as "organic" in Korea. In addition, if some additional criteria are met, the "Korean Bio logo" can be affixed to the product.
Kiwa BCS Öko-Garantie GmbH is one of the pioneers of the organic movement in Europe and is one of the first foreign organic certification bodies accredited by the Ministry of MIFAFF in Korea.
Kiwa BCS offers inspection and certification according to KOC in all areas of organic production, including farmers, processors, (re) packers.
What you want to know?
Since 2014, producers from countries that do not have an organic product equivalence or trade agreement with Korea need to certify their products according to Korean organic regulations if they want to sell organic products in the Korean market.
Farmers, producers and organic product processors who wish to export their organic products to Korea must have a certificate according to the Organic Certification System (KOC). Kiwa BCS's KOC certification is available for many sequential agricultural products: fresh or processed food, feed, crop, fertilizer production, beekeeping and wild harvesting.
